In this edition of the SVC Podcast, SVC Contributing Editor Bennett Liles talks with Kevin Goldsmith, director of digital media operations for Denver-based Ping HD. Goldsmith outlines the large digital signage project at San Francisco’s Candlestick Park where dozens of video monitors were installed in concession stand areas to replace static signs and make menu changes quick and easy. The project involved running HDMI cable and maintaining the hot plug 5V to keep monitors awake for the fans. He also describes working with the Atlona distribution amplifiers and EDID emulators.
