In this edition of the SVC Podcast, SVC Contributing Editor Bennett Liles talks with Jim Hoyle of Audio & Light in Greensboro, N.C., on the sound system upgrade at Elon University’s Whitley Auditorium. The venue was designed in the 1920’s as an acoustical environment for its Casavant pipe organ, but over the years it has come to be used for a wide variety of events. Hoyle recounts how Audio & Light installed a sound system centered on the DAS Audio Variant series speaker array and how the acoustic environment was initially analyzed.
