In part two of the podcast (listen to part one), SVC Contributing Editor Bennett Liles continues his conversation with Thomas Riedel, managing director of Riedel Communications, about his company’s IBC award-winning technical support of the Red Bull Air Race. They discuss MediorNet, PA mixing for the event, and communications including telephone and wireless links along with walkie-talkie interfaces. Riedel also details the Internet and data backbone that the company provided for the event and the wireless video links used to feed the huge video screens for the crowd at the show.
