Tech, maker of fiber-optic media converters, multiplexers, repeaters, hubs, and cable assemblies. The company got into fiber optics very early with the acquisition of Belden’s fiber-optic systems division in 1984. Ramesh discusses the latest trends in fiber optics for video transmission and offers some insight from the inside of the industry in the field of security and transmission of control signals over fiber.

In this edition, AV Contributing Editor Bennet Liles talks with Jeff McGee of Spectrum Sound in Nashville, Tenn., about the huge upgrade they installed in the new worship center for Gladeville Baptist Church. The installation included two new Yamaha M7 mixers, projectors, three large front-projection screens, and a Vaddio PTZ camera control system. The whole system starts up with a command from a Crestron touchpanel. The services at Gladeville Baptist Church are contemporary with live music, which are recorded live onto multiple, prelabeled DVDs. These DVDs are available to church members on their way out at the end of the service.
