In this edition of the SVC Podcast, SVC Contributing Editor Bennett Liles talks with Bob Ginger of Intent Digital in Phoenix about the complete AV system upgrade done at Cline Library Assembly Hall on the campus of Northern Arizona University. Bob outlines the challenges involved in configuring an AV package and control system intended to be operated by students, faculty, staff, and visitors from off campus. The company’s Energize control system was configured with two touchpanels: a simple one at the podium onstage and a larger one with more comprehensive features for the tech people in the facility’s projection booth.

In this edition of the SVC Podcast, SVC Contributing Editor Bennett Liles wraps up his talk with Andrew Van Veld of Circle City Audio in Indianapolis. He expands on the additional equipment used to outfit Plainfield Fire Territory #123 with training facilities for its staff and enable the system to automatically duck audio levels and pause DVD playback when an alarm comes in. He also provides details on the camera control and how Circle City Audio set them up to record and play their training sessions at the fire station.

In this edition of the SVC Podcast, SVC Contributing Editor Bennett Liles talks with Andrew Van Veld of Circle City Audio in Indianapolis. Van Veld provides details on the AV system installation at Plainfield Fire Territory 123 in Plainfield, Ind., complete with training room video recording/playback, remote radio station tuning, PTZ camera control, document camera, and seven audio zones. Xantech control gear was used to make the fire station AV system reliable and easy to operate.

Ryan details an installation project at the Langdale College of Business Administration at Valdosta State University in Valdosta, Ga. The quad display interactive touch screen installation is described along with the LED wall ticker. Ryan comments on the differences in administering corporate and academic installation projects and he outlines the considerations in mounting view only and interactive displays.
