The desert home’s famous Cabaret theater was fitted out with a new Elan g! control system and Digital Projection E-Vision projector with a 65ft.-throw distance. Beaumont details the challenge of getting signals around the historic stone and concrete building while working around the many visitors to the Arizona attraction second in popularity to the Grand Canyon.

He discusses the scheduling of the installation around the venue’s crowded event lineup, and outlines the final testing and tweaking of the whole system and how it performed in its first real event.

The venue was designed in the 1920’s as an acoustical environment for its Casavant pipe organ, but over the years it has come to be used for a wide variety of events. Hoyle recounts how Audio & Light installed a sound system centered on the DAS Audio Variant series speaker array and how the acoustic environment was initially analyzed.
