Crow goes into the details of the video side of the project including a handy little video monitoring scheme for the organist. He also details the installation of Vaddio PTZ cameras and video format conversion for distribution to streaming and to LCD monitors for the Great Hall in another area of the building.

In this edition of the SVC Podcast, SVC Contributing Editor Bennett Liles wraps up his talk with Bob Capotosto and Gene Ingham of RCI Systems in Beltsville, Md., about the renovation of Cramton Auditorium on the campus of Howard University. Capotosto and Ingham discuss the temporary initial setup of the L-Acoustics Kudo units horizontally onstage and then provide details on the 8XTi enclosures and SB28 subwoofers that were also used. They explain the layout and positioning of the LA-8 amplified controllers and the speaker arrays.

Stross outlines the scope of the project and discusses the problem of getting high-resolution video over the distances required to cover scoreboards, signs and nearly a mile of ribbon display around the huge stadium. ANC Sports worked with Gefen on this challenge. Mark also provides details on the VisionSoft control software used to coordinate the variety of video display programming for sports fans and TV viewers.

Van Veld provides details on the AV system installation at Plainfield Fire Territory 123 in Plainfield, Ind., complete with training room video recording/playback, remote radio station tuning, PTZ camera control, document camera, and seven audio zones. Xantech control gear was used to make the fire station AV system reliable and easy to operate.

In this edition of the SVC Podcast, SVC Contributing Editor Bennett Liles continues his talk with Keith Sealy, technical director for the Goodlettsville Church of the Nazarene near Nashville, Tenn., about the Software Audio Console from RML Labs and how he uses it to mix live sound at the church. Sealy goes into the stage monitoring, the physical setup from stage to FOH, and talks about the training he provides for technical crew volunteers at the church. He also recalls one communication glitch with the computer and how the service continued.
